Lomax has secured the order for another spiral freezing system, this time for freezing savoury pasties, pies and sausage rolls for a UK Cornish Pasty maker.

Lomax specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke industrial freezing and chilling systems for a wide range of food products.  The equipment range includes spiral freezers and spiral chillers and after detailed consultation with the bakery customer, where their product range, temperature requirements, factory space and delivery schedules were assessed, Lomax proposed one of their stainless steel spiral freezing systems featuring a spiral conveyor design that allows for the processing of a large capacity of frozen cornish pasties, pies and sausage rolls in a small footprint.

The system combines an ultra-hygienic design built into a compact module that includes the latest design of thermally efficient insulation materials, a stainless steel tube air-cooler, energy-efficient fans, cleaning system and digital operator interface to ensure ease of use and system data management.

As an independent company, Lomax is open to partner with any refrigeration plant supplier, and in this case did so with the customer’s preferred local plant supplier who specialises in the latest energy-efficient DX refrigeration plant that can be connected to the Lomax spiral freezer via just two pipe connections, thus ensuring a simple and lowest cost refrigeration solution.
